Escape The Snakes And Build Hi Towers At QueensmereObservatory

Escape the snakes and build hi towers at QueensmereObservatory on Saturday 29 September when giant games such as Jenga, Snakes and Ladders, Noughts and Crosses, Connect Four and Cactus Hoopla will be situated throughout the Centre.

Kevin Smith, Marketing Director at QueensmereObservatory, says: “Being back at school doesn’t mean there is no fun anymore. The giant games are a great way for all the family to interact and enjoy themselves together.

“The giant version of Snakes and Ladders puts players in the heart of the game, where they move up and the ladders and down the snakes. Jenga requires skill and cunning; players build up the tower and then take it in turns to remove a piece and add it to the top without making the whole tower tumble.

“I imagine many children will be attracted to the brightly coloured Connect Four game but it appeals equally to adults. In fact Captain James Cook took the game with him on his voyages and legend has it he became so engrossed with it during the long periods at sea that his crew gave it the name 'Captain's Mistress'.”

For the younger visitors there will be free face painting.

Through out the autumn QueensmereObservatory has organised an unmissable programme of events for all the family. Starting on Saturday 6 October different acts will be performing in the centre; these will include children’s entertainers, stiltwalking clowns, a walkabout Jester, amazing balloon modelers, magicians and face painters. These fantastic acts will be appearing every Saturday until the first Saturday in January.
