Halloween fun
20th October 2008HALLOWEEN FUN AT QUEENSMERE OBSERVATORY FROM 10-5PM
Sloughs premier shopping destination hosted a day of Halloween fun during term on Thursday 30th October.Waterstones helped the Centre to celebrate Halloween in spooky style with a host of creepy activities to entertain children. Ghouls, goblins and witches were invited to come along dressed in their scariest Halloween costumes and take part in a craft workshop to make hairy creepy crawlies, witches hats and all things scary. Plus there was gross out candy for everyone and scary stories to listen as well too!
If all that wasn’t enough for the little monsters to enjoy, Woolworths hosted a creepy Halloween Hunt around the Centre between midday and 5pm. Youngsters collected their creepy clue card from Woolworths and the clues lead them to letters which make up a spooky word, located around the Centre. Once they had followed the clues to find all the letters, they needed to work out and write down the spooky word and take their creepy clue card back to Woolworths. They were given some ghoulish pick n mix and all the correct entries were entered into a prize draw to win a Halloween Goody Bag from Woolworths.
Centre Director, Paul Clifford said, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for children and adults to come and join in the creepy capers and youngsters can enjoy Halloween in the safe environment of the shopping Centre, rather than going out and about on the streets. We’re all looking forward to see what Halloween horrors will be lurking around the Centre this year.’
