Huskies To The Rescue For Father Christmas
A team of Huskies will ensure that Slough and Berkshire kids will enjoy a spectacular Father Christmas parade on 6 December despite the outbreak of Foot and Mouth.
Due to disease control restrictions Rudolph and his reindeer team would be allowed into Slough but they'd have to stay in the town and run the risk of not being able to do their main job of the year on Christmas Eve.
Kevin Smith, Marketing Director, at QueensmereObservatory, explains: "These wonderful huskies will ensure Father Christmas has a fabulous parade in Slough. We will miss Rudolph and his pals but we didn’t want to stop them being available to help Father Christmas on Christmas Eve.”
Joining Father Christmas on his magical Christmas parade will be Toy Soldier and Fairy Stiltwalkers a great stilt walking duo. These enchanting storybook characters in their beautifully executed costumes are polished off with a comic twist to entertain both young and old alike.
Children will be able to meet the Huskies at QueensmereObservatory from 5pm until 7pm. They will also have the chance to meet Father Christmas and tell him about their Christmas wish list, in person, in his Grotto in Elliman Square opposite Debenhams before the event or the following evening.
