Jungle and Carnival face painting extravaganza

18 February 2008

All the excitement of the carnival comes to the QueensmereObservatory on Wednesday 20 February from 11am – 4pm, when Makendoo stages a one day painting and mask-making extravaganza for the delight and enjoyment of shoppers.

Children and adults will have the chance to be transformed into jungle and carnival characters, making fabulous hats and tiaras, banners, crowns and headdresses with which feathers, glitter and ribbons can be added for extra effect. The characters are invited to leave the workshop wearing their artwork and keep them as lasting souvenirs.

Paul Clifford, the shopping centre manager, said: "Last year was such a huge success. The centre came alive with colour and smiling faces, it really was a very special day."
